In depth

Verdict

Drury was fair fifth in a mares’ bumper at Fairyhouse back in April and is the type to improve with experience. Rian Thomas found only one too at Ballinrobe last month but is no world-beater. Georgina Burgess is also starting to look a little exposed but Druim Samhraidh caught the eye here on debut. BARNET BROOK started favourite at Downpatrick three weeks ago but found little under pressure in the straight. That run was probably needed, however, and Derek O’Connor’s presence in the saddle here suggests better is expected.
