In depth

Verdict

Harbour Beacon had been narrowly beaten in his first two starts before comfortably landing a Dundalk maiden, earning a rating of 90 in the process which puts him on top weight. SIR EDWIN LANDSEER had plenty of opportunities last season and only took one of them, a Roscommon maiden in July. He still carries multiple top-class entries so better must be expected and he's handed the vote. Chronicles showed promise on his debut and though only battling to victory at Navan it looked a strong maiden and he will undoubtedly make further progress. Allography won a Dundalk maiden over a mile before disappointing when stepped up to this trip in a handicap there while Tommy Hallinan will be facing this sort of ground for the first time after racing exclusively on testing going.
