In depth

Verdict

EARLS QUARTER, a winner at Roscommon in August, pulled up when strongly fancied to complete a double at Tipperary in October. There was something obviously amiss that day and he's given another chance. Clondaw Warrior will be a tough nut to crack as he's been getter better with experience and was always travelling well when scoring at Down Royal in May. Saint Gervais made a reasonable start in a better event at Punchestown and will have benefited greatly from the experience but Tim's Approach has failed to build on a very promising debut here last May.
