Verdict
After winning over this trip at Fairyhouse, Logical Song failed to stay an extra half-mile on more testing ground at Wexford so should do better here. BROUGHTONS STAR has only won once, a Huntingdon bumper way back in 2010, but he had over three years off before joining Gordon Elliott and has steadily improved. He looked as though this trip would suit when runner-up to Neddyvaughan over the minimum at Thurles and can gain his first success for the yard. Varene De Vauzelle has been running really well over further and with Rachael Blackmore's claim to help he should get into the frame but successful point-to-pointer and hunter Theatre Princess has been well beaten since reverting to hurdles.
