In depth

Verdict

Thrilled To Bits made a successful reappearance when beating three rivals on heavy ground over the course and distance but couldn't handle a 5lb rise or an extra furlong on a return visit. This should be more to her liking though she has a lot of weight. Ever Yours returns from a visit during the week to Redcar where she was outpaced on the fast ground. She can do better while Balmont Blast has shown enough speed on soft ground at this trip to be considered. It's difficult to know what to make of PRINCE CONNOISSEUR, who was backed as if defeat were out of the question in the lead up to his debut at Dundalk in January. Two of his intended opponents pulled out and he was left with two rivals to beat which he did comfortably enough and though that form is nothing special a mark of 70 may prove lenient so he gets the vote.
