In depth

Verdict

A competitive affair in which The Kings Sword looks well enough treated if fit after a long break. Salesin had been running well over fences before reverting to hurdles and easily landing a Wexford handicap but an 8lb rise tempers enthusiasm in this better race. Miss Mary Mac found three miles stretching her stamina at Wexford and this is her trip. She looks certain to go well but Wilde Wit Pleasure is unproven on ground this quick and is overlooked. BIDEFORD LEGEND has been a strong fancy on his two starts over fences this season but hasn't done as well as expected so this return to hurdling looks a winning option as he's well treated on his close third to Macville in a Listed race at Limerick in October.
