In depth

Verdict

ANNA BUNINA, four times a Flat winner in the UK, was beaten less than two lengths on her hurdling bow in a Listed contest at Musselburgh for John McConnell. She then pulled up at Grade 2 and 3 level but was in touch and challenging when unseating her rider in a much better race than this at Ballinrobe earlier this month. Guinevere has only had three starts over hurdles with a third place at Fairyhouse the highlight, though she was beaten a long way. Rock Me Robin made a promising start over timber behind the well-supported Etincelle Lioterie at Downpatrick while Winter Castle has a nice pedigree for jumping and is one to note on her debut along with Paris Duvet, who has been running well on the Flat.
