Winning point-to-pointer American Touch couldn't live with Dun Masc on his hurdling debut at Navan but will improve for the run and should be respected. Bog Warrior won a Fairyhouse bumper on New Year's Day and was still in touch though held when falling at the last in a very strong maiden hurdle at Navan in February. Provided he's none the worse he looks sure to go well and holds bumper and points winner Our Musician, who was a long way behind in fourth in that latter event. Glenstar was very consistent in bumpers and looks to be going the same way over timber after a decent debut at Wexford but Shannon Spirit didn't improve for stepping up in trip at Limerick last month after an excellent run over two miles at Thurles. SUBAROO BLUE needs a stamina test and should get it here. His recent close third behind Jim Will Fix It over this trip at Clonmel was a fine effort and a similar level of form may be good enough for this.
