      Verdict

      Ocean Vision had Tiger Paw in third at Dundalk so a big run from the latter in the opener would boost his chances. BLACKBEARD defied inexperience to win with a bit in hand at Dundalk and will take some beating though Crispy Cat was well supported at Cork and made all for a convincing success. Treasure Trove appeared to find 5f too short at Tipperary while Vanguard Star, a €135,000 yearling, is highly-tried on his debut.
