In depth

Verdict

Gasta made a successful debut over the course and distance before finding the minimum trip too short on a return visit when just touched off by Too Familiar, who will certainly appreciate the extra furlong. Kevin Manning picks the former over Sometimesadiamond and she should have the edge over the Fairyhouse winner, who was a narrow winner over subsequent winner and today's rival Butterscotch. The latter's yard is also represented by CLEMMIE, who was just behind Gasta on her debut here before finding the ground too quick in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot. Fille Du Septembre will need to step-up on her narrow victory at Dundalk but should be capable of doing so.
