Verdict

Chips Are Down and Marvelous James were separated by a short-head when occupying the places in a three-runner event won by Katchy Lady on very testing ground at Tipperary. Neither appeared to be enjoying the conditions and the former looked in need of the experience so should just about come out on top again. MOVE TO STRIKE couldn't quite match strides with the front pair when placed behind Forester at Leopardstown and, as that looked a decent race, he should have improved enough to take this, especially as both Marvelous James and Sin Miedo, who missed the break, were behind. The speedily-bred Slope is one to keep an eye on as she makes her debut.
