In depth

Verdict

The bottom trio are in good form though just a bit too far out of what looks a tough handicap to consider. Gerald Mosse, a rare visitor to Ireland, was on board when The Broghie Man won a Listed contest at Navan, with Brick By Brick behind, but that was on soft ground though he did have True Blue Moon behind on fast going in a Group 3 at Naas later. BLUE ULURU has returned to action in excellent form, winning a tough Navan handicap in comfortable fashion. He's up 7lb and this is more difficult but he's still progressing and gets the vote. Julia's Magic went up 8lb for her victory in a Dundalk nursery in November but reappeared to beat a big field at Navan and can make her presence felt as can another lightly-raced type in Dali, who caught the eye here a couple of weeks ago.
