          Verdict

          Mr Wagyu has won over 5f here and was beaten less than a length into third in this a year ago. However, he has finished behind Summerghand on several occasions including at York last time when FRESH was staying on strongly. The winner's regular partner Danny Tudhope is on board James Fanshawe's charge here as he was for his two victories in top 7f handicaps at Ascot last autumn. This stiff 6f should prove ideal and he gets the vote though another UK raider, Albasheer, dead-heated with Summerghand in that event on the Kavesmire and has much more scope. Big Gossey loves it around here and though well beaten last year he's been given a chance by the handicapper, especially with his rider's claim to aid his cause. The Highway Rat is very smart at his best though a penalty for his Navan victory won't help. The three-year-old Never Shout Never and Eddie Lynam's Jon Riggens are others to note in a very tough opener.
