Verdict

The John Oxx-trained newcomer ALAYIR is by Azamour out of a mare from a high-class family. He's related to some nice winners and can make a successful start in a race that shouldn't take too much winning. Jim Bolger tries Deire Na Sli in first-time blinkers but she didn't impress on her first start over today's trip at Listowel last time and may have to wait for a nursery for her opening success. Mick Halford has done brilliantly well with Sheikh Mohammed's Casamento this season so the same owner's Mullingar, who is a half-brother to six winners, is one to keep an eye on as is Celebrity Sevi, who is related to several winners at a variety of distances.
