Verdict

More than half of this field are trained in the UK. GLASS SLIPPERS came good around this time last year, landing a trial for the Prix de L'Abbaye on this day at Longchamp before a superb victory in the big event on Arc day. She couldn't live with Battaash in the King George Stakes at Goodwood but the ground was much too quick for her and she'll be at her best here. Que Amoro and A'ali both ran fine races behind Battaash in the Nunthorpe and are obvious contenders and the latter had beaten both Make A Challenge and Liberty Beach earlier so is greatly respected. Make A Challenge has won five times here and heads the home team as though Sonaiyla is very speedy she's never raced over the minimum.
