ALVEENA gave notice of an imminent victory when just touched off at Wexford and stepped up to 1m4f for a comfortable maiden success at Galway. She makes her handicap debut and, though this is much tougher, she can continue her progress. A line through Spin Point, runner-up at Galway and just in front of Van Schaick at Gowran, puts Ger Lyons' charge close though the selection just looks to have the more scope. Brokopondo is very consistent though is on a 12lb higher mark than his only victory to date while Pincode's double achieved in the summer was over longer trips. Snap Click is a fast-ground specialist and if the going dries out he can be given a chance on his defeat of a huge field over this trip at Navan. Ri An Domhnaigh is well handicapped at his best but has been racing over further.
