In depth

Verdict

Aidan O'Brien has won the last two of these and HECTOR DE MARIS can make it three after a bold attempt to make all in a Roscommon Listed contest. He's stepping up in trip but Ryan Moore will ensure he gets every chance to stay the distance. Winning bumper Ever Present has completed a Leopardstown double in amateurs' races and will find this tougher but Effernock Fizz, the only course winner in the line-up having won a premier handicap last month with Irish Poseidon five lengths behind, is greatly respected despite an 8lb rise. Dewcup was headed on the line over 2m here last time when Dinard Rose was around four lengths behind.
