Verdict

This has been a good race for Aidan O'Brien over the years and Emily Dickinson should go well for the yard. A winner over the trip on heavy ground at Navan, she was nowhere near her best when long odds-on at Leopardstown where she finished behind the winner Yashin, runner-up Point King and fifth-placed Okita Soushi but returned to form in the Gold Cup at Ascot when finding 2m4f just beyond her. She was beaten a short-head by ROSSCARBERY over the trip at Leopardstown last summer and the revised weight-for-age scale greatly favours the winner, who found 1m2f too short in the Pretty Polly here three weeks ago.
