Verdict

Like last year, Aidan O’Brien runs three in this. None of his trio finished in the first three 12 months ago, including Circus Maximus, and this looks wide-open but Wichita, a 140,000gns half-brother to a winner, is better drawn than stablemates Monument Valley, by Galileo, and Victory Road, with the latter being a son of Frankel. Springbank, another Galileo colt, also has a wide draw but AESOP has been allotted stall three and can take full advantage. Jessica Harrington’s charge is a half-brother to top-class performers Youmzain and Creachadoir and may be forward enough to make an immediate impact. Fiscal Rules is by the same sire as the selection and also related to winners so shouldn’t be ignored.
