Verdict

The Happy Prince has had a busy campaign but still ran his best race to date when just failing to hold Breton Rock in a Group 2 over 7f at Doncaster last time. He had earlier beaten In Salutem and Flight Risk at Navan and should have no problems confirming the form. The form figures of GOKEN don't look inviting but he's been racing at the highest level and his close third in the King's Stand Stakes would make him difficult to beat so he's given the nod. Fellow travellers Jane's Memory and La Rioja are both capable of winning at this level but Bebhinn has only had the one run this season and has a bit to find. Gordon Lord Byron has a Group 2 penalty for his victory here in July but can never be dismissed while Fort Del Oro has won three times at Listed level and this isn't much of a step-up in class.
