Dermot Weld won this last year but the previous six had been won by Aidan O'Brien, who has two entries. LEADING LIGHT should prove the best of them and can take this as he could hardly have been more impressive on his reappearance at Tipperary and an entry in the King Edward VII Stakes suggests he's expected to go on to better things. Count Of Limonade is the other Ballydoyle runner but he'll need to improve from his victory in a Dundalk handicap so Struthan looks more of a threat. He steps up from the 7f he won over here earlier this month but looked a likely middle-distance performer and can only get better. Little White Cloud could hardly have been expected to beat much better rated rivals in the Derrinstown Derby Trial at Leopardstown but ran a fine race and wasn't beaten far so with further progress certain he should make his presence felt.
