Most of these are old friends. Prince Connoisseur beat Captain Cullen in this a year ago and though neither have been in the best of form recently it would be no shock if they were in the frame again. Sassaway and Anonymous Lady are closely matched on their 1-2 at Dundalk and at the right end of the handicap, though the latter was well beaten by Captain Power earlier. Eddie Lynam's charge has won three of his last four, though all over an extra furlong and that looks his optimum trip. Master Speaker was conceding Ostatnia 11lb when beaten just over a length at Tipperary. He'll be 8lb better off here and showed his current wellbeing with a superb run behind George Bowen in a premier handicap here a fortnight ago. However, he only passed the post in third place and the runner-up IN SALUTEM was disqualified for interference. The latter is generally thereabouts at this sort of level and can give supporters a run for their money at value odds.
