Verdict

A cracking renewal but the vote goes to VADENI as last year's Prix du Jockey Club winner and Arc runner-up made a pleasing reappearance without being put under maximum pressure. He was a place behind the re-opposing Bay Bridge but is taken to turn the tables and be far more competitive here. Luxembourg, who enjoyed a victory over the selection in last season's Irish Champion Stakes, should also have benefitted from a return to action with Piz Badile looking best of the remaining trio.
