Verdict
Aidan O'Brien won this with Gleneagles last year, his fourth victory in five renewals. The stable are represented by three newcomers this time and though Lieutenant General and Zig Zag are beautifully bred it's the 400,00 euros yearling SHOGUN, a full brother to Qualify, who catches the eye with Ryan Moore in the saddle. Sanus Per Aquam is by Teofilo and from the family of Dawn Approach while Kitten Loves Roses is a half-brother to three winners in the USA. From Eden ran on nicely at Leopardstown once getting the hang of the job and looks best of those with experience.
