Verdict

Three-year-olds don't have a great record in this but URSA MAJOR, a son of Galileo, can buck the trend. He could hardly have been more impressive when making his handicap debut over the C&D last time and with further progress virtually guaranteed can continue his winning ways. The hurdler Beau Michael has done exceptionally well since reverting to the Flat and the ground was very heavy when he scored at Navan a couple of weeks ago so further rain would enhance his prospects while Harrison's Cave ran a superb race behind Camborne in the Duke Of Edinburgh at Royal Ascot and won't go down without a fight. Long Journey Home looks a real threat as he was having his first start for a year behind Strandfield Lady at Leopardstown a fortnight ago when Toraidhe was just in front and that should have put him spot-on for this.
