      In depth

      Verdict

UK raiders have a good record in this and the progressive STARMAN looks to have every chance. Ed Walker’s charge took another step forward when winning the Group 1 July Cup at Newmarket last month with Glen Shiel, Rohaan and Brando, who won this back 2017, all finishing behind and collateral form also gives him the beating of Campanelle. The latter was awarded the Commonwealth Cup at Ascot by the stewards’ last time having been hampered and also won the Prix Morny here last year. Lennox Stakes winner Kinross steps up in class but Irish challenger Laws Of Indices beat Thunder Moon in the Group 1 Prix Jean Prat here last month and is also preferred to last year’s third Lope Y Fernandez. Group 3 winners Marianafoot and Ocean are preferred to Tropbeau of the home team.
