        Verdict

        John Gosden won this back in 2002 and his GREGORIAN arrives in flying form. He beat the re-opposing Garswood in soft ground to land the Criterion Stakes at Newmarket before running a big race dropped back to 6f for the July Cup. Aljamaaheer finished a long way behind on that occasion and has yet to encounter a testing surface. Joyeuse, Caspar Netscher and the Irish raiders Viztoria and Fiesolana all have something to prove at the highest level but Vorda has bags of speed and the progressive Thawaany could go well.
