Stablemate Esoterique won a Group 1 here in testing ground at this time last year and finished ahead of last month's Lennox Stakes winner Toormore when runner-up in the Queen Anne at Ascot. Estidhkaar, Lightning Spear and Belardo are other UK challengers with the latter preferred on the prevailing going but the returning KARAKONTIE may prove better value. He won the French Guineas and Breeders' Cup Mile last year and Jonathan Pease has reportedly aimed his high-class miler at this contest.
