In depth

Verdict

A fine renewal in which the home side can keep at home via GALIKOVA. The daughter of Galileo has won five of her nine races to date including the Prix Vermeille, which will be her next target before another crack at the Arc. Izzi Top was nowhere near her best at Goodwood after her victory in the Group 1 Pretty Polly at the Curragh and the run should be ignored. Giofra dropped back to a mile to land the Group 1 Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket but is probably even better over today's trip and has to be a major threat. Snow Fairy returns after a very long break but Ed Dunlop's brilliant mare has won five of her last 12 starts which have all been at Group 1 level so can never be ruled out.
