Verdict
September's Haydock winner Marine Commando could prove the best of Richard Fahey's runners with Paul Hanagan on board and Swilly Ferry makes most appeal of the Nicholls' quartet having slipped down the weights last season. King Of Jazz is another back on a more realistic mark, while Ancient Cross and Advanced are capable at this level on their first starts of the year. However, DOCOFTHEBAY has run well in Listed events on the Polytrack since scoring at Lingfield in November and racing off a 10lb lower mark back on turf, Scott Dixon's charge may well get his head back in front. Confessional had a below-par Desert Law behind at Ascot in October but they're closely matched if both are at their best.
