Verdict
It was heavy going here in May when PTARMIGAN RIDGE ran Alaadel to a neck with the more-experienced Dirchill third and Fille The Force last of the six runners. Conditions shouldn’t be a problem today for James Fanshawe’s charge, who is a half-brother to three winners and can go one better. Hugo Palmer’s Samarmadi is an interesting newcomer as he cost 50,000gns and is related to a host of winners but Chatoyer, Gloriux and Calypso Jo will all need to take a step forward to get off the mark.
