Verdict

Virginia Lodge beat Francina at Fakenham far more easily than Summer Night City had at Hereford and makes most appeal of the two penalised winners. But KNIGHT OF ALLEN, carried out at the first on his racecourse debut, looks a better long-term prospect. The fact that he started out in a Grade 2 may be significant and he is a half-brother to useful stablemate Galahad Quest and a bumper winner.
