Verdict
Those with any money left after a tough day will find this daunting but a chance is taken on a return to form by ROSBAY. Tim Easterby's charge won the previous race a year ago and though unsuccessful in a busy campaign later he ran some fair races on good or faster ground and is on a 5lb lower mark. Sharakti was in good form for most of last year and one of his victories was here but he's on a high enough mark and may just need this. Sharp Sovereign was one of the success stories of last season winning four times and completing a hat-trick in late summer. He couldn't handle heavy conditions on his final start and today's track and trip are ideal. The ultra-consistent Zaplamation looks a big threat as he returned to action with a double last season and the promising Shane Kelly can claim his 5lb allowance.
