Mark Johnston, who won this last year with Kentucky King, looks all set to collect again with Just A Fluke, with Tashkil one to note. The latter, a 180,000gns son of Royal Applause, made a satisfactory debut when fourth to more experienced opposition including Sgt Pepper, and should have no trouble opening his account in the near future. However, he will do well to get the better of Just A Fluke who comes from a stable firing on all cylinders at present. He ran as green as the grass at Beverley when sent off odds-on to make a winning bow and will have learnt a lot from that. Entered for next year's Vodafone Derby, he will improve when stepped up in trip next year. Mick Channon, whose Top Seed put Just A Fluke in his place last time, saddles House Of York who shaped fairly well on his introduction at Lingfield but who may be outclassed here, while Treason Trial will need the run. Just A Fluke should not need any luck to open his account.
