Verdict
Dabus has been fairly consistent and gets the vote over Jodante, with Alcopop and Dante's Porridge put up as potential dangers. This is yet another uninspiring affair, and Dabus should be capable of making his presence felt judged on his two latest efforts. Third to Ghadames at Leicester, Michael Chapman's 10-year-old filled the same spot behind Specular in a novice chase at Huntingdon last time, and deserves to win as he is as honest as they come. He has suffered at the hands of the handicapper but has been found a suitable opportunity. Jodante will come on for the run after being tailed off at Market Rasen in December and is best watched, while Alcopop made too many mistakes when eventually falling at Carlisle. Dante's Porridge is another that has failed to get round more often than not this term, but has only had six career outings despite reaching the age of nine and can only improve. Dabus is at the other end of the spectrum despite being only a year older, and his experience should come in handy today.
