In depth

Verdict

Foolaad is a tough sprinter who handles all types of going and is still on a fair mark. But he only beat Danielsflyer a short-head over course and distance at the end of March and is 2lb worse off. Tommy Taylor made late headway into sixth that day and could also get involved but Get Knotted is best at York and probably over an extra furlong. FILLE DE REVE had gone over the top when last at Newmarket in October but had looked a progressive sprinter in earlier victories at Haydock and Ascot and Jamie Spencer keeps the partnership intact. Royal Residence was second in the Bronze Cup at Ayr in the autumn but would have preferred a softer surface.
