Verdict
JIMMY STYLES paid for the price for trying to match strides with the brilliant Black Caviar at Royal Ascot and eventually finished behind Royal Rock. His earlier form, including a close second in a Listed race over C&D in March, looks good enough to land this, however, and he has the beating of Bogart on the form book. Royal Rock won't go down without a fight while Boomerang Bob has been running well without reward this season but does seem a colt without a trip. Artistic Jewel was second at Haydock in June and far from disgraced at Salisbury subsequently so can't be ignored.
