In depth
Verdict
The well regarded Mount Joy has been found a soft race and it will be a major shock if Godolphin's colt is not up to the task. The son of Mtoto boasts some very useful juvenile form and was runner-up to subsequent Craven winner King Of Happiness on his debut before being far from disgraced in Group 1 company behind High Chaparral in the Racing Post Trophy on testing ground which wasn't to his liking. The three-year-old is destined for better things this year and should be far too good for some moderate rivals although Mamounia showed a consistent level of form in maidens last season and looks best amongst the opposition.
