Verdict
Watergate is put forward as the tentative choice in this maiden; the list of dangers is headed by Classic Blade and Favourite Girl. Sir Mark Prescott's colt showed plenty of promise on his debut at Haydock in a race won by Awinnersgame. He is sure to come on for the run and nominal improvement should make him hard to beat. Classic Blade was outpaced over 5f on his debut at Leicester, but he was staying-on at the finish that day and now that he is upped in trip he could be seen to better effect. Favourite Girl was a beaten favourite at Redcar last time, but she wasn't disgraced and she is another who could be seen to better effect over this extra furlong. Tiger Goddess is an interesting newcomer from the Willie Haggas yard and is one to note in the market, but for the winner we will stick with Watergate.
