In depth

Verdict

This is a competitive and tricky maiden in which we will side with Gal Aloud to win at the expense of Predict and Alayala. The selection was not beaten that far on her debut at Newmarket when finishing fourth. She ran green that day and was doing all her best work late on so should benefit for the experience. Predict finished second on her racecourse debut at Lingfield when beaten fair and square by Skruton. She again can improve but may have to settle for place prize money only. Of the newcomers Alayala looks the most interesting on breeding and being by Cape Cross any cut in the ground should not prove a problem. But for the winner we return to Gal Aloud.
