Verdict

MOUNT MEWS won a Grade 2 over hurdles last season and was also second in a Grade 1. He’s not been disgraced in two runs this term and his debut over fences has been long-awaited so, granted a clear round, he should have too much for twice-penalised Sam Red who is conceding 12lb. Sussex Road will probably complete in his own time for some prize money.
