    In depth

    Verdict

First Row faces a much easier assignment than some the tasks that have been set for him this term and he can make the most of the weight he receives from Sendintank and Dubai Success. The last named is a very useful tool on his day and his wins to runs ratio does not tell the whole story. Cut in the ground suits him well and he should not be underestimated despite having to give weight away all round. Much will depend on how well Sendintank has got over yesterday's exertions before he is allowed to take his chance. However, he is as tough as old boots and it will be surprising if he does not take his chance. Still, this has all the hallmarks of being a tactical affair and he needs an end to end gallop to be fully effective at this trip. Therefore, it might be worth siding with First Row, whose odds are likely to be a touch more attractive. It is worth bearing in mind that he was less than a length away from winning the Chester Vase earlier in the season and a repeat of that sort of form would easily be good enough in this company.
