In depth

Verdict

Flemenstide, runner-up to a smart one at Sandown, was engaged in the 4.10 at Exeter yesterday as were Top Of The Bill, a close third behind Wonderwall at Ascot, Uttoxeter third Landen Calling and the newcomer No Word Of A Lie. Mexico made an encouraging debut at Bangor but was well beaten at Warwick next time so this can go to WISEGUY, a half-brother to a couple of winning hurdlers. Ned's Escape is one for the future being the first foal of a mare from the family of The Tullow Tank and Many Clouds.
