Verdict

Kieren Fallon rides Kilbaha Lady for Nigel Tinkler in this popular charity race but the recent Newcastle second has the lowest rating of these, apart from reserve and stablemate Allux Boy. Whatwouldyouknow is in good form and so is Timmy Murphy’s mount Ascot Week. Dubai Acclaim was second in a better race at Leicester last month and should give Sammy Jo Bell a good ride while Redcar winner Valley of Fire is from the Les Eyre yard that went close to winning this last year. Placebo Effect is quite consistent and arrives off the back of a win at Carlisle and three-year-olds Flying Dragon and One To Go are also respected but we’ll take a chance on SANDS CHORUS. This trip may be on the short side for the seven-year-old but he’s only just qualified for this race having been dropped 11lb since running in the Spring Mile here at the start of the season. He’ll be in the firing-line from the outset and could stay on best to repel challengers.
