In depth

Verdict

Muldoon's Picnic landed a Uttoxeter bumper in April and made a winning start over timber at Huntingdon in October. He didn't handle softer ground in a better race at Newbury subsequently and conditions should suit here though a penalty won't help. Ben Cee Pee M was suited by fast ground when landing a bumper at Towcester in May and made a bad error at the second on her hurdling debut over 2m5f at Huntingdon. She can do better than that while Jack The Gent showed his first sign of ability in a jumper's bumper at Southwell last time. PIROULET was very unfortunate at Exeter on New Year's Day, crashing through the rails after the last when upsides Bermuda Boy. Compensation awaits Philip Hobbs' ex-French five-year-old who looks destined for better things. Winning point-to-pointer Loose Preformer is well regarded in the Henderson camp and looks an obvious threat as does Cygnet, who was battling on when brought down at Catterick a month ago.
