Verdict
Irish Odyssey looks capable of winning a race or two at this level as long as a mishap at Huntingdon hasn’t dented confidence. But there are three previous winners in this with the top two both eased in grade. GLENDUFF beat a couple of useful novices on his hurdling debut at Carlisle and then found heavy going and a step up in trip at Newcastle against him. He can improve past surprise recent course and distance winner The Macon Lugnatic and No Getaway, who is more exposed than most. It will be a surprise if any of the others are involved at the business end.
