Verdict

The imperious STRADIVARIUS bids for a tenth win in succession having landed the odds in the Lonsdale Cup at York in fine style last month. John Gosden’s charge carries a 5lb penalty today but should still have the measure of York runner-up Dee Ex Bee and continue his domination of the Cup races. The latter has chased home the selection in his last three starts now and that will most likely be the case again today given the remainder are facing an uphill task on these terms. Max Dynamite represents last year’s winning yard but ran poorly in the Ebor last time as did Ascot winner Cleonte when both finished behind fifth-placed Barsanti. Irish raider Sneaky Getaway beat little at Tramore last month and looks thrown in at the deep-end here.
