Verdict
It'll be disappointing if AL MUTHANAA can't take advantage of what looks a great opportunity. The Haggas-trained gelding showed abundant promise on his debut at Newmarket when beaten by a rival with experience and this son of a Group One winning juvenile should win this if repeating the effort, let alone improving as expected. Self Employed did well to take a distance second on his debut and this drop back to six should serve him well while Ardent was sent a long way to make her debut at Thirsk and attracted plenty of support prior to finishing seventh. She can learn from the experience and run well in a weak race, a point highlighted by the fact that 52-rated four-year-old Nativity may well be best of the rest.
