Verdict
Calcutta has won this race twice in the past and makes a quick reappearance having finished a creditable fourth in the Group 3 Park Stakes earlier in the week. The Barry Hills-trained entire is not the most predictable but possesses a useful turn of foot and, with ground conditions in his favour, may be able to add to his tally of three handicap victories gained earlier this season. There is little between Muchea and Nashaab on last month's York form (Vicious Knight, Calcutta and Zarin behind) and the former has landed a minor event at Thirsk since so has to be respected. Passing Glance is a confirmed front runner who is in form but Eljohar will find this tougher than when landing a maiden last time and may be better over further.
