Lake Volta is holding his form remarkably well and looks more than capable of making his presence felt again here, though is possibly better when having a bend to run around. Al Erayg wasn’t far behind at Chester last time, however, when little went right. AMAZOUR, who won in this grade at Newcastle in June, is only 2lb higher than when landing this 12 months ago so a repeat may be on the cards. Normandy Barriere is overdue a victory but might have preferred a slightly quicker surface. The in-form Bernardo O'Reilly must have some sort of chance off bottom weight and Shared Equity didn’t run badly at Galway so is also worth a second look.
